How do I seek a faculty appointment?
For Instructor or Assistant Professor:

Submit your current CV in any standard format to netterappointments@qu.edu, ensuring it includes the following:

Academic institutions attended and degrees awarded

Residency/fellowship training

Board certifications with expiration dates

Clinical, research and prior academic appointments

Teaching experience

Scholarship and presentations

For Associate Professor or Professor:

If you already hold a senior academic rank at another U.S. medical school, submit your current CV in any standard format (as above). If this is a new academic appointment, you will need to submit a full promotions packet.

Review the promotion criteria to understand eligibility requirements

Discuss readiness with your department chair

Schedule an initial meeting with Dr. Lisa Coplit, Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs
In your initial consultation with Dr. Coplit, you will create a plan for submitting all required promotion materials. A complete application packet includes:

Formatted CV using the required template

Executive summary

Referee information worksheet

Letter of support from the department chair

Teaching evaluations
