Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens on October 1 for the 2026-27 application. Applicants are encouraged to file the FAFSA to apply for financial aid as early as possible. The FAFSA is due by March 1 or two weeks after acceptance.
We recommend utilizing the IRS data retrieval tool (within the FAFSA) to expedite the process. Our federal school code is 001402.
Students who wish to be considered for institutional need-based funding must complete the CSS Profile. Students who exclude parental information will be considered for federal loans only. The CSS Profile is due by March 1 or two weeks after acceptance.
Once your FAFSA results are processed by the financial aid office, you will receive an email indicating that your offer letter is ready. The electronic offer letter specifies the types of financial aid and amounts for which you are eligible. You will be prompted to log into the self-service site to accept your offer. Once logged in, you need to accept or decline each individual fund when prompted and electronically sign your offer letter. By submitting your electronic offer letter, you are acknowledging your financial aid offer and agreeing to abide by all of the terms and conditions set forth.
Once we have received the four completed requirements, your Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan will be pre-credited to your billing account. As long as your financial aid file is complete, your Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan will then be disbursed at the beginning of the fall and spring terms.

Resolve your balance due
Once your aid has been processed and your loan deducted from your tuition and fees bill, you still may be left with an outstanding balance due. This balance can be paid through a Graduate PLUS Loan, alternative financing or a university payment plan.
