How do I seek a faculty appointment?
Appointed faculty members are expected to devote a minimum of ten teaching hours per academic year. If you are interested in a faculty appointment:
Provide a current copy of your curriculum vitae. It should include listings of all academic institutions attended with degrees awarded, residency and fellowship training, board certifications and certification expiration dates, all prior teaching experience and all prior and existing academic appointments.
A cover letter indicating anticipated availability as well as your desired area of involvement. This should be sent to netterappointments@qu.edu.

How do I apply for an academic promotion?
Promotion is one way the School of Medicine recognizes and rewards a faculty member for contributing to the education of medical students and engaging in scholarship and service. Continued employment requires faculty to maintain high professional competence and accomplishment, meeting their professional obligations and assignments on a consistent basis.
In the normal course of events, faculty will be eligible for promotion approximately every 5-7 years they are in a given rank. Exceptional candidates may be eligible for promotion in a compressed time frame. Promotions progress from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor and then to Full Professor.
Please review the Appointments and Promotion Policies and Procedures for more details.
