Frequently Asking Questions

The majority of training takes place at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, with selected ICU rotations at Hartford Hospital and pediatric rotations at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, CT.

Applications are due through ERAS on November 30.

We accept four (4) advanced anesthesiology (PGY 2-4) residents each year for a total of 12 residents. Applicants also have the option to link an advanced program with a preliminary PGY-1 medicine program at St. Vincent’s Medical Center (NRMP program code 1080140P2) for a start date in July 2025. 

Interviews take place on select dates in October, November, December and January. If you are selected for an interview, you will be notified via ERAS.

Our CRNAs are a highly trained, professional group of anesthesia providers who provide anesthesia care under the supervision of our attending anesthesiologists. CRNAs and physicians work together in a team-based model and residents learn how to use effective leadership skills so that they will be prepared to supervise CRNAs in their future careers.

We currently accept foreign graduates who are sponsored for J1 Visas by the ECFMG. We do not sponsor foreign graduates for H-1B Visas.
