Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine Our Residents

The Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at St. Vincent's Medical Center is proud to train a diverse, collaborative and dedicated group of physician leaders who share a passion for diagnostic excellence and patient-centered care. Coming from medical schools across the United States and around the world, our residents bring unique experiences and perspectives that enrich our educational environment and strengthen the culture of our program.

Meet Our Residents

Our residents benefit from a program that emphasizes the practice of "everyday radiology" while providing comprehensive subspecialty training in neuroradiology, body imaging, breast imaging, emergency radiology, cardiac imaging, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and vascular and interventional radiology.

Education is at the center of our mission. Residents receive two hours of protected educational time each day and learn from an accomplished faculty committed to mentorship and professional development. In addition to lectures from St. Vincent's faculty, residents benefit from educational sessions led by nationally recognized radiologists from leading academic institutions throughout the Northeast. Multidisciplinary conferences, including tumor boards and specialty conferences in thoracic, breast, neuro and women's imaging, further strengthen residents' understanding of the critical role radiology plays in patient care.

Residents also gain a unique perspective through our hybrid training model, which offers exposure to both academic and private-practice radiology environments, helping them make informed decisions regarding fellowship training and future career paths.

Beyond their clinical and academic accomplishments, our residents foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, wellness and mutual support. They are valued members of the St. Vincent's community and play an essential role in carrying forward the institution's longstanding mission of compassionate service to the diverse communities of Greater Bridgeport.

Through rigorous clinical training, state-of-the-art technology, exceptional mentorship, and a commitment to lifelong learning, our residents graduate prepared for fellowship training, board certification and successful careers as leaders in diagnostic radiology.
